SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the large quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level established for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your Workplace to attend to read more all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
